The Ping S56 Irons feature machined face grooves to enhance spin and control. The S56 irons also feature Ping’s Stabilizing Bar Technology, which improves ball velocity and distance in the longer irons. The bars increase in width as the set progresses to the shorter irons to generate lower, controlled trajectories. The 2011 S56 irons come equipped with a tungsten toe weight that helps you launch the ball. Stabilizing Bar Technology - Narrower stabilizing bars improve ball velocity and distance in the long irons. The bars progress wider in the short irons to generate lower, more-controlled trajectories.
Variable Tungsten Toe Weighting - A shallow tungsten weight in the long irons produces higher-trajectory long irons. The weight extends deeper toward the face in the short irons to generate penetrating ball flights.
Shaft - The Ping S56 Steel Irons come stock with either the True Temper Dynamic Gold R300, S300, and X100 or the FST KBS Tour Shafts. Each shaft comes in Regular, Stiff, and X-Stiff Flex. For custom shaft options call 612-216-4152.
