The Polarity MTR Irons are the latest member of Nicklaus Golf Equipment's Premium Collection. Designed by Clay Long, who designed many of Jack Nicklaus' club during Nicklaus PGA Tour years, the Nicklaus Polarity MTR Irons achieve what Long calls "extreme weight distribution" by extending the face and adding more weight to the hosel. They also have a wide, cambered sole along with progressive offset and sole width (more on long irons, less on short irons). The result, Long says, is more balance and stability through the hit - higher MOI, so - as the MTR acronym in the name says - "maximum twist resistance."
