Orlimar Golf Company has been a pillar in the industry of golf manufacturers for over fifty years. It has built a strong, tried-and-true reputation for producing some of the most reliable and durable clubs on the market. Orlimar was started in 1959 by Lou Ortiz, though the company toiled in relative obscurity until 1998, when co-chairman Rich Oldenburg bought into the company, bringing with him financing and a sophisticated marketing plan to appeal to the general golf public. By the end of 1998, Orlimar had increased its yearly sales from $1.5 million to $68 million, coinciding with the release of their flagship line, the Orlimar TriMetal Woods, which brought Orlimar Golf to the forefront of the mainstream golf market.
Orlimar continues its TriMetal series today, with obvious improvements and expansions made upon the line. Now, the line has expanded to include the Orlimar TriMetal XR Driver and TriMetal XR Fairway Woods, as well as a TriMetal XR Irons line. Orlimar even carries a TriMetal XR Hybrid series as well and also offer the TriMetal ZX series in drivers, woods and iron sets.
