The Ram Golf Corporation got its early start in Chicago in 1947, started out of a garage by Hans Berger and his brothers. From these humble beginnings came the popular Bristol 600 putter, which became popular on tour from the 1950’s to the 60’s. By the mid-sixties, Ram had released the then popular Ram XS1000 cavity back irons, which were considered some the highest-quality irons on the market at the time. Just after releasing the ever-popular Ram Zebra Putter in the seventies the company was sold Colgate-Palmolive, only to be re-sold back to the brothers Berger in 1980.
After its shaky beginnings Ram was rolling full-steam ahead by the mid to late eighties, producing iron sets as well as drivers and fairway woods. Now, after several acquisitions over the years, the company still produces some of the best clubs around, such as the Ram Tom Watson Wedges. 2nd Swing is proud to carry a variety of used Ram golf clubs and putters.
