Already one of the most well known names in the golf industry, Callaway Golf has made it a point to not sit back and stay complacent but to raise the bar with some of the best product on the market. Like any golfer, Callaway has the same mindset of continuously trying to improve their game. The company has had huge success for years, starting with the popular Big Bertha clubs. Originally introduced in 1991, the Big Bertha line was Callaway’s most popular line up to 2010 when they officially changed it to the Diablo line.
Throughout the years, Callaway has had their research and development team produce some of the best technological advancements that the golf industry has seen including: S2H2 (short straight hollow hosel) and modified tru-bore, VFT, Fusion, and Hyperbolic Face technology. These developments have turned out some fantastic clubs from Callaway such as: The Hawkeye Series, The FT series, the X-Series, and recently the Diablo and Razr series. Many of the iron sets in these lineups have made Callaway the #1 iron in golf for years by constructing irons that are easy to hit, but still have a lot of feel and workability.
Being the company they are, Callaway set out to raise the bar. They did just that when partnered up with Lamborghini and came with their patented Forged Composite Technology. Forged Composite is a game changing new clubhead material developed in collaboration with researchers from supercar icon Lamborghini. The proprietary forging process concentrates over 500,000 turbostratic fibers per square inch to create a material that is lighter and stronger than titanium. The precision of the Forged Composite tooling also gives Callaway engineers complete control over wall thickness and surface geometry. That means each Forged Composite part is optimized down to one thousandth of an inch, reducing weight to the absolute minimum. This innovation has enabled Callaway to produce a Driver that is lightweight and durable with optimal mass distribution, which results in longer drives with uncompromised forgiveness. The Diablo Octane Driver and the Razrhawk Driver from Callaway were the first to be introduced with this technology and are industry leaders in the driver category.
Callaway Golf is always looking for new and innovative things to do, and won’t stop pushing to be the top name in the golf industry.
