Who’s It For?

Mizuno is well-known for its exceptional production of iron sets over the years that have been incredibly popular among tour professionals and amateurs. However, Mizuno is increasing its investments into drivers and fairway woods, and found great success with the ST190 line in 2019. Now in 2020, the ST200 lineup provides more options and upgraded materials to allow golfers to achieve their optimal ball flight and more distance. The ST200 driver is designed to be incredibly stable at impact, generating low spin and forgiveness to help golfers who struggle with high spin rates.

The Tech Story

Headlining the ST200 driver lineup in 2020 is the use of a new face material that is 17 percent stronger than the previous models. Mizuno has made the clubfaces with forged SAT 2041 Beta Ti, which is very responsive across the entire surface area and maintains performance for longer when compared to the traditional 6-4 Ti. Mizuno engineers also made sure that the new Beta Rich forged titanium face precisely reaches current tournament regulations. To provide the added stability for the ST200 driver, Mizuno used weight savings from a compacted Wave Sole and variable-thickness graphite crown to bring more weight low and to the outside of the clubhead. Meanwhile, an additional 11.6-gram back weight further balances low spin efficiency with forgiveness. The Tour-ready shape was refined by Yoro craftsmen accustomed to special tour requests and includes a flatter crown and slightly flatter lie angle. Additional refinements have been made to the internal structure to achieve a more preferred, solid sound at impact. Lastly, the ST200 driver includes several loft and lie adjustments that can be made through an adjustable hosel.
