The Callaway X-24 Hot irons are designed to be longer than previous X series irons. These irons have a progessively thinner face as you move from sole to topline, this lowers the Center of Gravity, making it easier to get the ball in the air. The face is also thin , so when you couple increased launch angles with faster ball speeds you get improved carry distance. To keep mis-hits on line the weighting of the clubs allows for a high Moment of Inertia that keeps the club from twisting if a ball is struck off center, also the bored hosel adds stability to the clubhead through impact.
