Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth Wedge

Who's It For?As is the case with PING’s Glide 2.0 wedges, what’s most important when it comes to the new Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges is that players pick the right sole grind for the way they swing the club, the conditions where they play most often, and the types of shots they want to hit. PING offers four different sole grinds for players to choose from and each offers different performance attributes. The TS Grind was designed for players with more shallow angles of attack and for use from firm turf and sand conditions. It features significant heel relief to help players open the face to execute a wide array of shots from even the most demanding of lies. The WS Grind offers a wider sole and reduced camber, a combination that will provide exceptional turf forgiveness. It will work well for players with steeper angles of attack and from softer turf and sand conditions. The ES Grind, which was modeled after PING’s highly popular Eye-2 sole shape, has a refined leading edge and tapered hosel to promote versatility on all shots. Where it will truly excel, however, is from greenside bunkers. And finally, the SS Grind offers trailing and leading edge relief, as well as a mid-bounce design. It will work well for players with moderate angles of attack and from a broad range of turf and sand conditions, making it the wedge that will fit the widest array of golfer. The Tech StoryPING’s new Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges were created based on feedback and requests from PING’s deep roster of touring professionals around the world. Their requests, however, were not only for the new, dark QPQ finish that these wedges offer, which won’t glare at all in the sun. The players also wanted wedges that provided a softer feel at impact, which is why PING engineers have constructed the Stealth wedges using soft 8620 carbon steel  The other new technological innovation for the Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges is that a half groove has been added at the bottom of the clubface to help players maximize spin, especially on shots that are struck low on the face. Beyond that, however, the Stealth model and the original Glide 2.0 wedges share common technologies, most of which revolve around groove patterns and being able to deliver optimal spin. More specifically, for wedges with lofts between 46 and 52 degrees, one groove was added when compared to the original Glide wedges, while two grooves were added to wedges with lofts between 54 and 60 degrees. Additionally, the relaxed sidewalls and a sharper edge radius combine to create more impact friction from the fully milled clubface. As a result, players can expect between 200 and 400 more RPM of spin from Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges when compared to the original Glide, depending of course on the length of the shot being played. Also of note, while the Stealth wedges have been constructed using a softer material, players can still expect a high level of durability in addition to what will be a more responsive feel. Why are there no values for my used golf clubs?

Golf Club Condition Guide

At 2nd Swing Golf, we work very hard to accurately rate our clubs according to our condition guide. Our golf club condition guide is as follows:

Brand New

The golf club is in brand new condition and has never been used on a golf course.

Shows virtually no traces of wear and has been hit 1-3 times total. It will be difficult to determine if it has been used.

Above Average

Golf club has been played less than 10 rounds and is in top of the line used condition.

This club has seen normal usage for an extended period of time, at least one season, has been well cared for, and is still in good used condition.

Below Average

This golf club has been well used, but not abused. Below average clubs offer a great value for someone who isn't as interested in cosmetics but cares about performance.

This golf club shows considerable wear but is usable.
