The Tech Story

Callaway’s Jailbreak technology was one of the industry’s most innovative features in recent years, but this year, Jailbreak has been reimagined to help golfers play even better. Using artificial intelligence, Callaway’s engineers equipped the Epic MAX Star Fairway Wood with brand new Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades. The blades stiffen the club’s body, improving stability in both horizontal and torsional directions. This allows the clubface to “twist” at impact to increase the performance of off-center strikes. The fairway woods also feature a new A.I. Designed Flash Face SS21 clubface, which is uniquely designed to generate high ball speeds all across the face. Finally, the Epic MAX Star boasts two adjustable weights that give golfers more flexibility in terms of altering launch and spin conditions.
