Questions, Answered.
Values And Condition
Are golf retailers obligated to give the same used golf club trade-in values on other websites?
No, but 2nd Swing consistently offers the highest trade-in values for used golf clubs.
What is the difference between the trade-in value and the resale value of my used clubs?
The trade-in value is slightly higher than the resale price. You will receive more value when you trade in to receive credit for other purchases.
Does the condition of my golf clubs affect the value?
Yes. The better the condition of the club, the higher the value. Condition is evaluated by our staff and the clubs are priced accordingly. You can use the 2nd Swing Value Guide to find what your club is worth in a particular condition (New, Average, Below Average).
Why can't I find my club on the 2nd Swing Value Guide?
Not every golf club model can be given a market value, and these items are typically rare items, antique items, special or Tour issue items, or other high-ticket items. Clubs that are very old or damaged will also not be assigned a market value.
Payout Options
How do I get paid for my trade?
You can choose store credit, credit card refund, check, e-check, or PayPal. Your total updates instantly as you switch between options, so you can see exactly what each one pays before you check out.
Which payout option gives me the most value?
Store credit and credit card refund pay the highest value. Check, e-check, and PayPal payouts run about 10% below the store credit value.
Who is eligible for a credit card refund payout?
Credit card refunds are reserved for golfers who are also purchasing clubs at the time of their trade. If you are not buying today, store credit is your highest-value option.
Can I change my payout method after I submit?
If you need to switch your payout method after submitting, reach out to our support team and we will help you sort it out. The sooner you contact us the better, since changes are easiest to make before your clubs are processed.
How do I choose store credit for my trade?
Complete the trade-in process and select 2nd Swing Credit as your preferred payment method.
When does my store credit show up?
Store credit is applied to your account once your clubs have been received and processed, and it arrives by email the same day.
How do I use my 2nd Swing Credit?
You will get a 2nd Swing Gift Card by email, good toward any future purchase. The code is in that email and works both in store and online.
Getting Started
Can I trade in more than one club at a time?
Yes. Search by brand, model, or club type, and add every club to the same trade-in cart. Accessories go in the same cart too, and there is no limit on how many clubs you can trade.
What besides clubs can I trade in?
Clubs, shafts, rangefinders, GPS units, and other golf tech are all accepted.
Shipping
Do I have to pay to ship my clubs?
2nd Swing assists with shipping costs. You can add a prepaid FedEx label for $9.99, which is deducted from your payout rather than charged upfront.
How many clubs can I fit on one shipping label?
One label covers up to 15 clubs in a single box. If you are trading or selling more than 15 clubs, request additional labels to cover the extra shipments.
Where do I get my shipping label and packing list?
Both are available to print directly from your confirmation page after you accept the terms and submit your order.
How should I pack my trade?
Put the packing list inside the box and the shipping label on the outside, then drop it off at any FedEx location.
What if there isn't a FedEx facility near me?
Many local drug stores offer FedEx drop-off, so you usually have an option close by.
Timeline
How long does the whole trade-in process take?
Plan on 3 to 7 business days for your box to reach our facility, then 5 to 7 business days for us to inspect and process your trade once it arrives.
When do I actually get paid?
Store credit lands by email the same day your trade is processed. Cash payouts follow 2 to 4 business days after that.
