The Tech Story

Callaway’s Apex Smoke 19 irons are highlighted by the eye-opening new gray smoke PVD finish, including a new Apex Smoke Medallion, that produces a distinct, premium visual appearance. But it’s the technology packed inside these irons that results in exceptional performance. The forged 1025 mild carbon steel body and, for the first time in Callaway forged iron, urethane microspheres combine to produce incredibly soft feel. The urethane microspheres are made up of over one million tiny air pockets that absorb unwanted vibration without sacrificing speed. These irons get their excellent distance and ball speed from Callaway’s 360 Face Cup technology, which employs a shallow and flexible rim around the outside of the face that flexes and releases at impact to promote a high ball speed and great distance all across the hitting zone.
