Who’s It For

PING’s Vault 2.0 line will offer any golfer the feel, look, and performance that they want in a high-end putter, so what the decision comes down to for individual players is to pick a head design that fits their eye visually and a putter that will align well with their stroke type. The Craz-E H has been one of PING’s most popular mallet designs through the years thanks to its high MOI construction. That said, its Anser-style hosel also offers players a slight amount of toe hang, meaning it will work best for those with minimal to moderate arcs in their putting strokes.

The Tech Story

The new Vault 2.0 putters are PING’s premium offering in the category and therefore it’s no surprise that these putters feature some impressive technology, both in terms of their construction and the performance they provide. Each putter was machine milled to perfection, with the Craz-E H having been milled using 6061 aluminum as opposed to the 303 Stainless that was used in the Vault 2.0 blade designs. The end result of the milling process and the premium material is exceptional aesthetics and a pleasing sound and feel at impact. Also of note, heel and toe tungsten weighting has been utilized visibly in the sole to provide enhanced balance through the stroke, as well as improved distance results on off-center strikes. Additionally, to preserve that balance, putters ordered at 34 inches or shorter will include weights that are a combined 15 grams heavier, while putters ordered at 36 inches and longer will include weights that are a combined 15 grams lighter. Also a key component in the Vault 2.0 line is the implementation of PING’s patented True-Roll Face Technology, as the milling pattern on the face varies by depth and pitch at different locations along the face to provide more consistency in terms of ball speed regardless of strike location. And finally, in terms of finish options, the Craz-E H will be available in both a Slate and Stealth finish.
