Ping 2016 G Crossover Hybrid

PING’s New offering to the G line, the G Series Crossover is describe quite accurately. It’s practically a new category; however as the hybrid category is a blend between a Fairway Wood and a hard to hit long iron, the G Series Crossover is designed to be a reverse bridge between the categories. It will play long like a hybrid and offer versatility in the thick stuff, but its intended use is for more shot making opportunities that better players would take with the long irons trying to be precise when attacking the green. The G Series Crossover has a flat face and grooves like your long irons for spin control and shot shaping. The Crossovers have a taller face than a typical iron which helps expand the perimeter weighting across the face for hybrid like forgiveness. A carpenter steel 455 face is used to ensure consistency and forgiveness, while also giving it the hot face of a hybrid for longer shot making opportunities. The G Series Crossover has a wider sole to help promote clean consistent turf interact. By giving it a wider sole, weight can be repositioned low and further away from the face giving it a deep and back CG position for higher launching capabilities, which is ideal when attacking a green with precision and a soft landing. The High MOI of the Crossover is derived from an internal toe weight, which stabilizes the head and adds forgiveness. Just like the G Woods and G Hybrids, the G Crossover has a tiered internal sole which helps distribute energy across the entire face for maximum distance while not sacrificing any forgiving qualities. The G Series Crossover can be paired well with PING’s New Alta shafts or a next generation AWT 2.0 Steel shaft. Since the Crossover is meant to play like a long iron, it can be order with a specific color code to match your irons for consistency. New Crossover CategoryThe redifined hybrid should designate a new category, ball speeds, distances, and trajectory of a hybrid, with distance control, spin and accuracy of an iron Flat FaceIron-like design provides workability and distance control Carpenter 455 FaceStrong Alloy ensures consistency in face design for higher launching and longer results Low and Back CGStrong Alloy ensures consistency in face design for higher launching and longer results Interal Tier Systeminternally attached to the face, the tier system gives the ability to flex and engrage the entire 455 Carpentar Steel Face for the greatest transfere of engery on impact High MOIAn internal toe weight expands the perimeter weighting for hybrid like forgiveness Fitting MessageMake sure you’ll never find a shot you don’t have in the bag with consistent distance coverage throughout your set. Custom fitting for a PING hybrid can bridge specific distance gaps you may have between your fairway woods and irons. By analyzing your swing characteristics using PING nFlight software technology our fitters, recipients of PING fitting awards, will find the hybrid that completes your set and make any adjustments needed to the club’s specifications to maximize performance

Trade values are based on several factors such as demand, condition, release date and other resale factors. Pricing is updated regularly to ensure that you are receiving the highest trade-in value for your used clubs.

Does the condition of my used golf clubs affect the value?

Yes. The better the condition the higher value given for the item. Condition is evaluated by our knowledgeable staff and the used golf club(s) is priced accordingly.

  • Iron sets must contain a minimum of five (5) consecutive clubs with matching shafts, including a Pitching Wedge. If a PW is not included, you will be required to enter each of the irons individually.
  • Clubs that are stamped or engraved will be automatically receive the "Below Average" value.
  • Please provide us the information below to help expedite your quote: Please provide dates you need sets delivered to you.

Clubs that do not qualify:

  • Clubs with cracked or dented heads, heads that rattle and clubs with broken shafts.
  • Fitting irons.
  • Counterfeit clubs.

What happens if there are any discrepancies?

If, upon inspection, 2nd Swing identifies any discrepancies (ex. wrong model, condition, missing clubs) we will email you to notify you of the discrepancy and the resulting value change (+/-), if any.

Do I need to include a headcover?

Golf club head covers, tool kits, torque wrenches, or other related accessories should be included whenever possible (though are not mandatory).

Why are there no values for my used golf clubs?

Not every golf club model can be given a market value and these items are typically: rare items, antique items, special or tour issue items and other very high-ticket items. If items are extremely old or damaged, they are also not assigned a market value. You are always welcome to contact our Service & Support team to inquire about the value of your item(s).

Golf Club Condition Guide

At 2nd Swing Golf, we work very hard to accurately rate our clubs according to our condition guide. Our golf club condition guide is as follows:

Brand New

The golf club is in brand new condition and has never been used on a golf course.

Shows virtually no traces of wear and has been hit 1-3 times total. It will be difficult to determine if it has been used.

Above Average

Golf club has been played less than 10 rounds and is in top of the line used condition.

This club has seen normal usage for an extended period of time, at least one season, has been well cared for, and is still in good used condition.

Below Average

This golf club has been well used, but not abused. Below average clubs offer a great value for someone who isn't as interested in cosmetics but cares about performance.

This golf club shows considerable wear but is usable.
