TaylorMade M1 Iron Set

In 2017, TaylorMade introduces the M1 irons — an entirely new line that packs the distance and forgiveness of M2 irons in a more compact shape for improved control. M1 irons have been crafted to bring as much of the speed, forgiveness, and playability of the M2 irons, but deliver it to the player who prefers a slightly more refined look along with additional control and workability. M1 irons feature both Speed Pocket Technology and Face Slots, which are designed to increase flexibility at the boundaries of the clubface to improve consistency of ball speed on off-center impacts. This combination of technologies is designed to produce longer, higher shots with improved consistency and dispersion on all shots. With a smaller overall head size, reduced offset, thin toplines, and shorter blade lengths, M1 irons are more compact than traditional distance irons and provide a confidence-inducing look at address. The result is a visual appearance at address suited for the better players while offering performance typically found in modern distance irons. GEOCOUSTIC TECHNOLOGYSimilar to the new M2 irons, the M1 irons also implement TaylorMade’s Geocoustic engineering; acoustics tuned through geometry. TaylorMade’s fin badge is a feature that works in conjunction with Face Slots to dampen unwanted low frequency, long duration sounds. The sound of the M1 is optimized using thin-yet-stiff head geometry combined with strategically placed reinforcements in the topline. The resulting sound is then dampened using a very stiff fin badge connecting the back of the flexible face to the stiff back bar of the iron for optimal sound damping. SHAFTS AND CUSTOMIZATIONPlayers will have a choice of True Temper’s popular XP95 steel shafts or MRC Kuro Kage Silver graphite shafts in addition to numerous additional custom shaft options. Fitting MessageCustom fit irons can really provide confidence in your game. At our state-of-the-art custom fitting center we analyze data like launch trajectory, spin rate, shot pattern, carry distance and total shot distance so our expert club fitters can ensure your equipment is fit to the exact loft, lie angle, length, shaft stiffness and swing weight your swing needs to optimize your on-course performance. How are trade values determined?

Trade values are based on several factors such as demand, condition, release date and other resale factors. Pricing is updated regularly to ensure that you are receiving the highest trade-in value for your used clubs.

Does the condition of my used golf clubs affect the value?

Yes. The better the condition the higher value given for the item. Condition is evaluated by our knowledgeable staff and the used golf club(s) is priced accordingly.
Important:

  • Iron sets must contain a minimum of five (5) consecutive clubs with matching shafts, including a Pitching Wedge. If a PW is not included, you will be required to enter each of the irons individually.
  • Clubs that are stamped or engraved will be automatically receive the "Below Average" value.
  • Please provide us the information below to help expedite your quote: Please provide dates you need sets delivered to you.

Clubs that do not qualify:

  • Clubs with cracked or dented heads, heads that rattle and clubs with broken shafts.
  • Fitting irons.
  • Counterfeit clubs.

What happens if there are any discrepancies?

If, upon inspection, 2nd Swing identifies any discrepancies (ex. wrong model, condition, missing clubs) we will email you to notify you of the discrepancy and the resulting value change (+/-), if any.

Do I need to include a headcover?

Golf club head covers, tool kits, torque wrenches, or other related accessories should be included whenever possible (though are not mandatory).

Why are there no values for my used golf clubs?

Not every golf club model can be given a market value and these items are typically: rare items, antique items, special or tour issue items and other very high-ticket items. If items are extremely old or damaged, they are also not assigned a market value. You are always welcome to contact our Service & Support team to inquire about the value of your item(s).

Golf Club Condition Guide

At 2nd Swing Golf, we work very hard to accurately rate our clubs according to our condition guide. Our golf club condition guide is as follows:

Brand New

The golf club is in brand new condition and has never been used on a golf course.

Mint

Shows virtually no traces of wear and has been hit 1-3 times total. It will be difficult to determine if it has been used.

Above Average

Golf club has been played less than 10 rounds and is in top of the line used condition.

Average

This club has seen normal usage for an extended period of time, at least one season, has been well cared for, and is still in good used condition.

Below Average

This golf club has been well used, but not abused. Below average clubs offer a great value for someone who isn't as interested in cosmetics but cares about performance.

Poor

This golf club shows considerable wear but is usable.
