The Tech Story
Callaway engineers created the Super Hybrid with the idea of providing the playability, looks, and feel of a traditional hybrid while adding some extra distance to help golfers find more success from those long distances. The Super Hybrid is highlighted by Jailbreak Technology, which consists of two titanium bars behind the clubface that connect the sole and the crown together to stabilize the clubhead at impact and generate explosive ball speeds. The high-strength titanium face insert alongside a lighter T2C Triaxial carbon crown creates up to 68 grams of discretionary weight, which Callaway has repositioned in the heel and the toe in the form of Metal Injection Molded (MIM’ed) weights to boost forgiveness and lower the center of gravity. Golfers who employ the Super Hybrid will also enjoy the benefits of the OptiFit 3 Hosel, a new, lighter adjustable hosel that makes it even easier to dial in optimal launch and ball flight. Also worth noting is that the standard length of the Super Hybrid is longer than a standard hybrid length in the corresponding lofts to help in adding the extra distance.
