The Tech Story

The SpeedZone irons feature an updated construction that has dropped more weight low and to the perimeter to improve forgiveness and launch. Cobra engineers have added a carbon fiber topline to each club, which is 40 percent lighter than steel. This creates three grams of saved weight that has been redistributed to optimize the center of gravity for easier launch. Meanwhile, the Speedback shape includes extreme heel and toe weighting that further drops the center of gravity and increases MOI to deliver improved performance on mis-hits. The SpeedZone irons also include PWRSHELL Technology, which consists of a face insert that is forged with a larger thin pocket from heel to toe to enhance ball speed. These irons are also built progressively so that the long irons are easier to launch into the air while the shorter irons offer more control.
