Lilia Vu's Winning Clubs | 2023 Chevron Championship
Lilia Vu is a major winner for the first time after her thrilling victory at the Chevron Championship. After graduating from the Epson Tour at the end of 2021, Vu has now won twice on the LPGA Tour and secured a major in her last five starts. She’s also vaulted to the top of the Race to the CME Globe season-long standings.
Vu accomplished the rare feat of coming back from outside the top 10 to win a major -- the first time it's happened in men's or women's professional golf since 2002. She shot a four-under-par 68 to hold the clubhouse lead at -10. When Angel Yin's eagle putt missed at her 72nd hole, she tapped in for birdie to also move to -10 and force a playoff.
In the playoff, Yin unfortunately hit her second shot into the water. Meanwhile, Vu's second dribbled over the green. After a shaky first putt from the fringe, Vu buried the birdie putt to secure the win.
Vu’s bag consists of a unique combination of some newer and some older equipment, including a:
TaylorMade Stealth fairway wood
Srixon Z585 (4) iron
Srixon Z785 (5-PW) irons
