Scottie Scheffler's Winning Bag | 2024 The Memorial Tournament
Scottie Scheffler’s reign atop the PGA Tour continued this past weekend as he picked up his 5th win of the season, this one a one-stroke victory at The Memorial. Scheffler’s historic season now includes three Signature Event wins, a Players Championship and his 2nd Green Jacket. He also became the first golfer since Justin Thomas in 2016-17 to win 5 times in a season, the first golfer since Tom Watson in 1980 to have won 5 times prior to the U.S. Open, and became just the second golfer, joining Tiger Woods, to win The Memorial, Players and The Masters in the same year.
The world’s top-ranked golfer has kept the same winning setup all season long, and really there’s no reason to change things now.

Driver: TaylorMade Qi10
Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X
Scheffler continues to play with the TaylorMade Qi10 core model. He plays an 8 degree head and has it adjusted up to 8.25 degrees, and plays with a 45” Fujikura Ventus Black 7X shaft in it for a D4 Swing Weight. Scottie’s consistently one of the best drivers of the golf ball both in terms of distance and accuracy, and he followed suit at The Memorial. He finished 16th in the field in driving distance, averaging 292.8 off the tee, while finding 38 of 56 fairways, which was tied for 22nd best. That combination helped him to an 18th place finish in Strokes Gained Off The Tee, as he gained 0.867 strokes on the field.
3-Wood: TaylorMade Qi10
Shaft: Fujikura Ventus Black 8 X
Like his driver, Scheffler games the TaylorMade Qi10 core model for his 3-wood. He plays a 15 degree head at 14.25 degrees. He plays with a 42 5/16” Fujikura Ventus Black 8X shaft in it. He has the shaft tipped 1.5” and a D3 swing weight. Scheffler opted to use this club often down the stretch on Sunday, giving him a bit more of a controlled flight off the tee into the challenging setup of Muirfield Village. It was also used to attack some of the par 5’s in two, including the 15th hole on Saturday, where he hit a beauty into the par 5, that would set up a two-putt birdie.
Irons: Srixon ZU85 (3,4), TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW)
Shafts: Nippon N.S. Pro Modus 3 Hybrid Prototype 10 X (3), True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100
Moving to Scheffler’s irons which haven’t changed for quite some time. He combos a pair of Srixon ZU85 utility irons with his TaylorMade P7TW’s. These continued to be the best performing section in Scheffler’s bag. He hit 50 of 72 greens in regulation, which led the tournament and helped him lead the field in Strokes Gained Approach to Green, where he gained 12.960 strokes on the pack!
Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design SM8 (50-12F, 56-14F), Vokey Design Wedgeworks (60-T)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400
Scheffler’s wedges played a big part of his Approach to Green performance, but weren’t nearly as strong around the green as Scheffler typically is. Scottie actually lost strokes to the field around the green, losing 1.040 strokes for the tournament. He converted 14 of his 22 scramble opportunities, but just 1 of 4 from the sand. Fortunately, he was dialed in on his approach to the green that he negated an otherwise poor performance for his standards around the green.
Putter: TaylorMade Spider Tour X
Grip: Golf Pride Pro Only
Scottie’s confidence on the greens started when he switched to his TaylorMade Spider Tour X months ago, and it has continued. His Spider X is 35.5” long, has 3 degrees of loft, and a lie angle of 72 degrees. He goes with a TaylorMade L-Neck hosel, a Surlyn Pure Roll Insert and then True Path with Full Line site line for his setup. He made some big putts down the stretch in the final round with his Spider Tour X including a clutch par on 16 that opened a two-stroke lead, and then the par on 18 that clinched the title. For the tournament, he was 19th in total feet of putts made, 13th best in Putts per GIR, and finished 22nd in Stokes Gained Putting, gaining 1.552 strokes on the field from the putting surface.
