The Callaway GBB Epic Driver is a technological marvel that redefines driver performance through its innovative "Jailbreak" and multi-material construction. The core of its technology is Jailbreak, which features two ultra-light (3g) titanium bars positioned behind the face, connecting the crown and sole. These bars work to stiffen the crown and sole at impact, allowing the face to absorb and return a greater proportion of the impact energy—a concept referred to as "energy lensing." This results in higher ball speeds and increased average distance. The clubhead itself is built from an aerospace-grade titanium "Exo-Cage" with panels made of a light yet strong triaxial carbon composite, which covers 46% of the head’s surface. This construction creates an extremely high Moment of Inertia (MOI) and a low center of gravity (CG), making it easier to launch the ball with a powerful, low-spin trajectory. The driver also offers extensive customization with its Adjustable Perimeter Weighting, which utilizes a redesigned track and a heavy 17-gram sliding weight to provide up to 21 yards of shot-shape correction.
