The Callaway Hyper X driver was the first driver from the company that featured the Hyperbolic Face Technology that would be found in every metalwood to follow. This technology allows the impact area across a larger portion of the face to be more efficient at transferring energy to the ball, resulting in faster balls speeds that produce longer drives. The large 460cc head provides forgiveness on top of that, while the stock Fujikura shaft adds feel and performance.
