The Tech Story

The TaylorMade M1 440 Driver is a compact, high-performance club that incorporates a new 6-layer carbon crown and an additional carbon toe panel to reduce weight and lower the center of gravity (CG). This design innovation enables an expanded T-Track system, which now features 30 grams of moveable weight and a longer back track for 94% more front-to-back CG movement compared to its predecessor. This allows golfers to precisely tune their ball flight, using the front track to adjust for left-to-right trajectory and the back track to optimize for launch and forgiveness—moving it forward for a lower, more penetrating flight and farther back for a higher, more forgiving one. The driver’s acoustical engineering is also meticulously managed to control vibration and pitch at impact, delivering a clean, solid sound. The M1 440's two-tone carbon crown is seamlessly integrated with the titanium body using a precision FF2FF process, and it is equipped with an ultra-lightweight 4° aluminum Loft Sleeve that provides 12 easily adjustable settings for loft and face angle customization.
