The TaylorMade M2 D-Type Driver is specifically engineered for golfers who struggle with a consistent fade or slice, which results in a right-to-right ball flight. By incorporating multiple draw-biasing design technologies, such as increased heel-weighting, a slight offset, and visual cues that promote a square face at address, the D-Type driver helps players correct their slice and achieve a straighter, more penetrating ball flight. This built-in draw bias is designed to help these golfers gain more distance and find more fairways, ultimately improving their overall performance and consistency on the course.
The Tech Story
The TaylorMade M2 D-Type Driver incorporates advanced "Geocoustic" technology, a fusion of geometric and acoustical engineering designed to enhance both forgiveness and feel. Its unique sole geometry features a sunken portion crafted from ultra-light, thick-thin 9-1-1 Titanium. This design innovation allows engineers to increase discretionary volume without raising the center of gravity, which contributes to greater forgiveness. The driver's acoustical performance is optimized by the specific curvature of this sunken sole, which stiffens the structure and helps to manage vibrations at impact. This stiffness reduces the need for external sound ribs, delivering a clean, solid sound and feel. For customized performance, the M2 D-Type includes a new 4° aluminum Loft Sleeve with 12 adjustable settings, allowing players to fine-tune the draw bias to their specific needs.
