The 2014 Adams Tight Lies Titanium fairway wood takes the easy-to-hit design of the original Tight Lies woods and combines it with forgiveness- and distance-enhancing technology. The low profile of the Tight Lies design makes it easy to get the ball into the air, up and out of trouble spots on the course. The head of the club is made of light and strong titanium and features a 75 gram stainless steel weight plate on the sole to lower the club's center of gravity (CG). The low CG adds forgiveness and increases initial launch angles. Faster ball speeds are achieved thanks to the slots behind the face in both the sole and crown. The crown slot is nearly invisible at address, using Ghost Slot Technology, to prevent a distracting appearance at address.
