Mizuno ST-Z Fairway Wood
Who’s It For?
In recent years, Mizuno has invested heavily in their metal woods. Not content with just churning out excellent iron sets, the company’s latest ST series is a bold set of offerings that will change the way golfers view Mizuno woods. The Mizuno ST-Z Fairway Wood features an extremely low-spin design that seeks to optimize both ball flight and ball speed to produce long and straight shots from the tee, fairway, and rough. This versatility makes the club a good fit for golfers of all different handicaps.
The Tech Story
The Mizuno ST-Z Fairway Wood features several new technical features and a stylish new aesthetic, making the club a potent challenger to the traditionally popular fairway wood contenders. For this club, Mizuno created their thinnest and hottest face to date, a brand new MAS1C Maraging face with optimized CORTECH thickness. The crown of the ST-Z was also tweaked, and its ultra-lightweight design has lowered the center of gravity to improve spin efficiency. Finally, all ST-Z fairway woods feature Quick Switch adjustability, providing every golfer with the ability to alter their club’s loft and face angle up to 4 degrees.
