The PING TiSI Tec fairway wood features the same technology as the TiSi Tec driver that makes it easier to hit and more forgiving. The oval weight in the back of the club makes the club more resistant to twisting at impact. This results in less distance lost for those not-so-perfect hits as well as less side spin created by off-center impact. The face has variable thickness, accomplished by chemically milling, to enlarge the sweet spot to produce faster ball speeds across a greater portion of the face.
