Who’s It For?

While the drivers may garner more attention, the TaylorMade SIM2 fairway woods build off the success of the original SIM family and have just as much technology built into them to drive performance for golfers in 2021 and beyond. Like the drivers, the fairway woods are designed to provide easy launch and playability for all golfers with three different models. Of the three models, the SIM2 Max D fairway wood is designed with draw bias to help golfers that struggle with a tendency to slice the ball.

The Tech Story

TaylorMade originally introduced V Steel technology in the mid-2000s, offering both smooth turf interaction and an efficient way to position the center of gravity low and deep in the clubhead. TaylorMade brought back Twist Face in the SIM family and has refined it in SIM2. Mass from the V Steel sole has been redistributed for enhanced forgiveness while depressed heel and toe areas contribute to smooth turf interaction. The C300 high-strength steel clubface with Twist Face technology is built for incredibly fast ball speeds, while Twist Face technology overcomes mis-hits on the heel and toe. As is the case with the drivers, the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket improves face flexing, especially when contact is made low on the face, to produce consistently high ball speeds. The SIM2 Max D fairway wood is designed with draw bias to help golfers that struggle with a tendency to slice the ball.
