Tour Edge Hot Launch 4 Fairway Wood
Who’s It For?
The new HL4 product line from Tour Edge is built to help golfers launch the ball high into the air and produce longer, straighter shots. The fairway woods, specifically, feature a redesigned shape that enhances launch capabilities off the tee or from the turf. Mid- to high-handicap golfers who struggle getting the golf ball into the air will see the most benefit from putting the HL4 fairway wood in the bag.
The Tech Story
The HL4 fairway wood from Tour Edge includes a number of technologies that have been implemented to generate explosive distance and high, easy launch. The new clubhead shape features a thinner and lighter 17-4 forged steel crown to promote faster clubhead speed on the downswing. Cup Face technology combines with Variable Face Thickness to improve ball speed and increase performance on mis-hits. Additionally, the Power Channel located on the sole just behind the leading edge has been made wider and deeper for better weight distribution and increased face flexing. Tour Edge has also moved considerable weight to the sole and perimeter of the clubhead, significantly lowering the center of gravity to make launching the ball into the air much easier. Furthermore, this design increases MOI by 12 percent for superb forgiveness.
