Callaway’s brand new 2021 hybrids, the Apex 21 Hybrid and Apex Pro 21 Hybrid, sport a number of new changes that cement their place among the industry’s best in the category. This new hybrid line provides the perfect bridge between irons and fairway woods. The Apex 21 Hybrid, specifically, is intended for a wide range of handicaps but will best suit those who prefer a more rounded hybrid clubhead with game-improvement features and an adjustable hosel.

The Tech Story

Despite the success of their past hybrids, Callaway’s engineers still found plenty of room to innovate when it came to their 2021 Apex Hybrids. Much of this innovation resulted from the company’s implementation of artificial intelligence into its design and manufacturing processes. The Apex 21 features Callaway’s new Jailbreak A.I. Velocity Blades and A.I. Designed Flash Face SS21, two breakthroughs directly tied to this new technological approach. The velocity blades stiffen the club’s body, improving stability in both vertical and torsional directions. This allows the clubface to “twist” at impact and increases the performance of off-center strikes. The new Flash Face SS21 clubface is a proven design when it comes to generating high ball speeds all across the face. The Apex 21 is the only Callaway hybrid with an adjustable hosel, which allows for optimization of club loft, trajectory, and control.
