Used TaylorMade M6 Hybrid
Who’s It For?
TaylorMade constructed the M6 Rescue with versatility in mind. Not only did they include Twist Face in the small, compact Rescue club head compared to the M5 and M6 drivers and fairway woods, but TaylorMade engineers also made adjustments to the CG position and the Speed Pocket design on the sole. This is an excellent club for golfers searching for a more forgiving and versatile club to use for those tricky long-iron distances.
The Tech Story
When TaylorMade launched its line of M3 and M4 products, Twist Face was only included in the drivers. Engineers took note of the success Twist Face had in the drivers and saw the need to implement it into more products in the M5 and M6 product line, and that’s exactly what they did. Twist Face is more pronounced in the smaller M6 Rescue club head, but the technology is the same. The face is slightly opened on the toe and slightly closed on the heel to counteract the popular toe-hook and heel-fade misses, resulting in higher ball speeds and more forgiveness all across the impact zone. Additionally, The two-tone crown has been meticulously designed to mask the increased curvature of Twist Face on the smaller club head to maintain the powerful, confidence-inspiring look at address. The CG position in the M6 Rescue is positioned low to allow for easier launching conditions and high MOI. Furthermore, the Speed Pocket along the sole has been made more flexible with a TPU slot insert that is designed to improve turf interaction and better performance on low-face strikes.
