TaylorMade created a breakthrough by releasing the original Rescue club years ago, offering golfers an excellent option that performs from nearly any lie and is easier to hit instead of a pesky long iron. Since then, TaylorMade has continued to refine its Rescue clubs. The SIM2 family features two Rescue options, the SIM2 Rescue and the SIM2 Max Rescue. Of the two models, the SIM2 Rescue offers a more compact, iron-like look at address that will provide lower spin and more workability.
The Tech Story
Both the SIM2 Rescue and the SIM2 Max Rescue, like the SIM2 fairway woods, are driven by a V Steel design, which redistributes weight to enhance forgiveness while maintaining low center of gravity properties. It also features a depressed heel and toe that minimize the sole area and improve turf interaction from any lie. Additionally, a forged C300 high-strength steel clubface allows for explosive ball speeds, and offers Twist Face technology to perform on common misses on the heel or toe. A new asymmetric Thru-Slot Speed Pocket continues to provide more face flexing, especially on misses low on the clubface. The SIM2 Rescue comes with an adjustable loft sleeve and is designed with a more compact, sleeker clubhead shape to produce a lower launch and more workability than the SIM2 Max Rescue.
