The Callaway X-18R irons are a re-release of the original X-18 irons that were first produced in 2005. Callaway found a way to make these popular irons more affordable through a different manufacturing process. The irons combine traditional styling with forgiveness increasing features. The perimeter weighting actually allows the iron to be smaller with the forgiveness and playability you would typically find in an oversize iron set. This is accomplished by using an undercut channel and notch weighting to move weight to increase Moment of Inertia and position the Center of Gravity low.
