The Mizuno JPX-850 are built to increase distance for plyaers in the mid-to high-handicap range. But these irons are not all about distance, Mizuno worked to create a distance iron in a more reasonalbly sized head and to retain feel and workability. The key for the JPX-850 irons is the Power Frame construction that increases the rebound area of the face for a greater "spring" at impact. This results in faster ball speeds and more distance, consistently, across a larger portion of the face compared to traditional irons. This design also moves weight to the extreme corners of the club head for added forgiveness.
