Ping G LE Iron Set
Who’s It For?
PING’s most recent product line designed specifically for women is the PING G LE (the LE stands for Ladies edition). It serves as an extension of the PING G line and is aimed at providing the performance necessary for women golfers. The shafts in these irons are slightly shorter than standard, so they are best equipped for women golfers with moderate or slower swing speeds. Women with faster swing speeds searching for the same emphasis on distance and forgiveness will want to look at the standard PING G irons.
The Tech Story
The PING G LE irons are all about incorporating forgiveness and increasing distance. This is achieved through COR-Eye technology, which connects the face, topline, and sole together, generating four times the amount of face flexing as the previous model. This will launch shots higher and farther. Meanwhile, the clubface has also been made 11 percent thinner, allowing the clubface to become hotter and allowing saved weight to be moved toward the outside of the clubhead for even more forgiveness. The hybrids in the set are built to make longer approaches easy with a lighter swingweight and the same materials as the G LE fairway wood.
