Tour Edge Hot Launch 4 Iron Set
Who’s It For?
The HL4 irons from Tour Edge are designed with a vast undercut cavity and wide sole in order to provide maximum forgiveness, power, and consistent performance. As is the case with all of the HL4 products, the HL4 irons are best suited for mid- to high-handicap golfers looking for help in consistently launching the ball into the air. Golfers looking for a further emphasis on easy launch or prefer a thicker clubhead shape may like the Tour Edge HL4 Iron-Woods.
The Tech Story
Tour Edge constructed the HL4 irons in order to help golfers gain more distance and launch the ball higher in the air. To do this, Tour Edge engineers implemented a shallower face height and a wider sole to drop the center of gravity and thus move more weight underneath the ball at impact, increasing launch. The vast undercut cavity allows weight to be moved into the sole for higher MOI and high CT with extremely fast ball speeds. The cavity also provides a higher launch angle and added forgiveness. Tour Edge has also added extra weighting to the perimeter and the toe for maximum stability and forgiveness. Meanwhile, Variable Face Thickness improves performance on off-center contact.
