Who’s It For?
Wilson Staff designed their Model Blades specifically to improve the play of top-tier iron players. These irons were built using the input of PGA Tour winner and Wilson Staff staffer Brendan Steele, and are currently in the bags of both Steele and fellow PGA Tour winner Gary Woodland. Wilson Staff has a long history of producing terrific forged irons and the Model Blades are doing their part to help solidify the company’s sterling reputation.
The Tech Story
The Wilson Staff Model Blades feature the new Fluid Feel Hosel, which eliminates excess weight in the hosel and allows for a larger head and wider sole to improve forgiveness. The company’s engineers also built these irons with an Optimized Sole Camber. This tweak gives the irons a more rounded sole radius, which improves turf interaction and leads to more consistent contact. The Model Blades heads themselves are made from soft-forged 8620 carbon steel and are precision-milled to ensure tour-level quality and consistency. Finally, these irons feature a thin top-line and triple-knurled hosel, which give the irons an aesthetic that low handicappers will love.
