Who’s It For

Studio Stock putters from Bettinardi are best known for their stylish look, clean lines, hand polishing, and deep milling marks. Additionally, of all the putters across the various Bettinardi lines, they will offer the softest feel at impact. The Studio Stock SS28 Center Shaft could best be described as a cross between a mid-mallet and a blade. It has a square profile and was designed to provide exceptional forgiveness on mis-hits. With what Bettinardi would classify as 1/2 toe hang, the SS28 will work best for players with moderate or more pronounced arcs in their stroke. Additionally, the SS28 is available in a standard version and an arm-lock model, the latter of which has become increasingly popular based in large part on Matt Kuchar’s success with that putting method on Tour.

The Tech Story

Studio Stock putters from Bettinardi are expertly milled from a single block of premium 303 stainless steel to provide an exceptionally soft feel at impact. The Studio Stock series also features Bettinardi’s F.I.T. (Feel Impact Technology) face milling, and for the new 2019 models, based on feedback from multiple touring professionals, the milling pattern is 20 percent deeper than in previous models to provide even softer feel. In testing, Bettinardi found that the new F.I.T. face worked especially well for more aggressive putters, and this was the face milling choice that Francesco Molinari used with his putter in winning the 2018 Open Championship. Also of note, the new line of Studio Stock putters feature a Platinum finish with blue accents, as well as a navy Lamkin Cord Grip.
