Who’s It For

Cleveland Golf’s Huntington Beach line of putters was created to offer players exceptional performance and a classic, elegant look at a price point that’s far lower than typical high-end putters. With its new Huntington Beach SOFT lineup, Cleveland is pushing the envelope even further by implementing technology that will help players improve their speed control while also providing several tour-proven head shapes and unique personalization options. Of the different models available, the Huntington Beach SOFT 8.5 is a modern blade design that features a traditional plumbers neck. With a moderate amount of toe hang, it will work well for players who have more pronounced arcs in their stroke and also be a good option for right-handed golfers who tend to miss putts to the left.

The Tech Story

The key innovation in the new Huntington Beach SOFT putters is what Cleveland is calling Speed Optimized Face Technology. More specifically, each putter in the lineup has a unique milling pattern that will produce consistent ball speed from across the face, meaning that putts struck from the heel or the toe will travel the same distance as putts struck in the center of the putter, with the end result being improved distance control. Additionally, the diamond shaped CNC milling pattern provides more friction at impact to achieve a truer roll. Huntington Beach SOFT putters also have been constructed using 304 stainless steel to provide a soft feel at impact, and the center of gravity of each putter has been optimized to further enhance feel and provide less dispersion at impact. And finally, Cleveland is offering personalization options for players as well, as they can choose from 16 different colors and four fill areas to create the exact look that they want.
