When LaMont started making putters, his goal was to learn how to actually MAKE putters. He had very little interest in simply taking a head to a CNC shop and letting them reverse engineer someone else’s design. With that in mind, he set off making blades that suited his eye and that could be milled on the Bridgeport-type mill he learned on. The BL-66 like you have a chance to purchase here is a favorite for him to mill on the manual mill. This one has his Medium Barbed Wire milling on the face and some very cool mill marks in the cavity. LaMont also did some light shadow milling on the tops of the bumpers that should diffuse any glare, but also has a fun pattern to it. This piece is milled out of 1018 CR Mild Steel and has a gorgeous polished hot black oxide finish on it. The only stamps on it are on the cavity-side and on the bumper faces, filled with gold paint fill. It is shafted with a KBS stepless steel shaft and cut to 35”, currently. If a new length is desired, please specify and LaMont has stated that he is happy to make the adjustment, prior to shipping.
