Odyssey EXO Indianapolis Putter
Who’s It For
The new Odyssey EXO Indianapolis putter was created, as was the entire EXO line, to give golfers maximum forgiveness on off-center strikes. The Indianapolis is a modern mallet that features significant perimeter weighting to help players enjoy better speed and distance control on mis-hits. As a face-balanced model, the Indianapolis will work best for players who putt using a straight back, straight through approach, but for those who have an arc in their stroke Odyssey also offers the Indianapolis S, which features 28 degrees of toe hang.
The Tech Story
Odyssey believes that everything it has learned through the years in becoming the No. 1 putter company in golf has been incorporated into its new EXO lineup, including the highly popular Indianapolis, which was an original Sean Toulon design. And as one might expect given such a strong statement, these putters include significant technology. Odyssey EXO putters are all high-MOI modern mallets, the Indianapolis included, and as such will provide impressive forgiveness for players on mis-hits. That high level of forgiveness has been achieved both from the shape of each putter in the line, as well as multi-material construction. More specifically, designers used different materials to be able to move significant weight to the perimeter of each putter to achieve the MOI that they were looking for. Also of note, Odyssey EXO putters feature a new insert. The new White Hot Microhinge Insert offers the microhinge technology that has made Odyssey O-Works putters so popular because of the true roll they provide but with a feel that is identical to the original White Hot insert, which from a feel standpoint has been Odyssey’s most popular insert of all-time. And finally, Odyssey is offering two hosel designs in the EXO lineup to better meet the stroke types of different players. Most notable is that the “S” version of each EXO putter will provide players with a short slant neck design and moderate degree of toe hang to accommodate a more arcing stroke, which isn’t always easy to find in an oversized mallet, the majority of which are face balanced.

Quotable
“We’ve taken some of our classic shapes and updated them with multi-piece construction to really increase MOI, significantly higher MOI than earlier versions. We also have our new White Hot Microhinge Insert. This has the same roll benefits as our original microhinge insert but with a little more sound and feel, so more like the original White Hot. There are lots of players out there who love their White Hot inserts, tour players and recreational golfers alike.” -- Luke Williams, Callaway Senior Director of Global Product Strategy
