The Tech Story

The TaylorMade Spider 5K-ZT Long Putter is engineered for exceptional stability and precise alignment, featuring a low torque design achieved through a KBS putter shaft bored directly toe-ward near the CG with a 1° shaft lean and 25mm onset. Its uniquely shaped sole is specifically crafted to complement this hosel configuration, accommodating various player types and ball positions to promote a consistent and repeatable stroke. The putter's stability is further enhanced by a construction that combines high-density stainless steel and low-density aerospace-grade aluminum, resulting in a high MOI design that allows the shaft to sit closer to the face. For improved accuracy, the milled True Path™ alignment system incorporates tour-inspired lines the width of a golf ball, assisting golfers in properly indexing to the center of the face. Finally, the black Pure Roll™ insert, made from Surlyn and aluminum with 45° angled grooves, encourages optimal forward roll while providing enhanced sound, feel, and overall roll characteristics.
