Who’s It For?

From Scotty Cameron comes the Phantom X line, which represents an advancement from the popular Futura line. These Phantom X modern mallets are packed with the most technology of any series Cameron has ever designed. Overall, the lineup includes six different clubhead styles and a variety of alignment and shaft bend options for a total of 12 different models. Specifically, the Phantom X 5 features a Tour-proven wingback head design with a mid single bend neck and minimum toe flow, making it a great fit for golfers with straight-back, straight-through putting strokes.

The Tech Story

Every putter in the Phantom X family is constructed of multiple materials, including a 303 stainless steel feel and a milled solid aluminum clubface that extends through the flange of each head. The Phantom X putter head designs are also slightly more compact than their Futura predecessors with sleek contours that stay low to the ground, which are both visually pleasing and great for weight distribution. These clubhead designs, combined with anodized black milled 6061 aircraft aluminum faces, produce an incredibly soft feel, solid feedback, and enhanced vibration dampening for added forgiveness. Each model also contains two weights on the sole, one heel-side and one toe-side, to promote stability. Meanwhile, the stock grip has been adjusted to better match an ideal shape for a mallet putter. The Pistolero Plus grip contains a thicker, less tapered low hand and the tour-preferred feel and performance of a standard Pistolero-style grip.
