Scotty Cameron’s Phantom X putters have been overwhelmingly popular among both professionals and amateurs since they were originally released. They provide an elegant, yet modern look, superb consistency, and high MOI. In 2022, Cameron has released a new series of Phantom X putters that includes updates to the Phantom X 5 and 5.5 putters, new designs to the Phantom X 7 and 7.5 models, and brand new Phantom X 9 and 9.5 models, all of which are available with an updated Phantom X 12 model as well. Important in choosing the right putter is identifying what type of putting stroke you have and how much arc it has. The Phantom X 12 includes a Mid Single Bend neck that optimizes the putter for a putting stroke with minimal arc.

The Tech Story

The 2022 Phantom X putters from Scotty Cameron are powered by an integration of steel and aluminum. The new Phantom X 12 employs an aluminum face and sole with stainless steel wings for maximum MOI. In fact, it boasts the highest MOI in the 2022 Phantom X line. Meanwhile, its slimmed-down flange section and extended alignment create a longer-looking, easier-to-aim update compared to the previous Phantom X 12. Everything about the new Phantom X 12 promotes forgiveness. Of note, the Phantom X 12 includes a Mid Single Bend neck that optimizes the putter for a putting stroke with minimal arc.
