Who’s It For?

Cobra’s rise as a manufacturer of premium golf clubs can be largely attributed to the popularity of brand ambassador and four-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler. He and Cobra engineers worked together to create the Cobra King Forged CB and MB irons to provide Tour-level performance in an incredibly sleek Diamondized Black Metal Finish. The MB (muscle back) irons offer a smaller address profile, thinner topline, and a classic blade look, all of which promote maximum workability. Those looking for slightly more forgiveness may prefer the design of the Cobra King Forged CB irons.  

The Tech Story

Fowler employs a combo set of Cobra King Forged CB and MB irons in which the 3-6 irons are CBs and the remaining clubs in the set are MBs. Both have been manufactured with a five-step forging process for a more refined grain structure and superb feel that is desired by some of the best players in the world. Fowler also influenced the CG position in each iron in the form of two tungsten weights, one placed in the toe and one placed in the center, to promote forgiveness not commonly found in the Players Iron category. The irons also include CNC milled face and grooves, using a very similar method of face design as Cobra’s wedges, to provide effective spin and control. Both sets also come with Cobra Connect, which allows players to track stats through the Arccos 360 app on their smartphones. Additionally, the Diamondized Black Metal finish provides extreme wear resistance and reduces glare for a long-lasting, solid-looking appearance. The Cobra King Forged MB irons offer maximum workability in the form of a thin, classic blade look with reduced sole and topline in comparison to the CB irons. This allows the player to bring the performance while the club aids in shot creation.
