Who’s It For

There’s no question that the Miura CB-1008 is a true player’s iron, and it is classic Miura in every sense when it comes to both stylish aesthetics and exceptional feel. That said, the CB-1008 is also surprisingly forgiving on mis-hits and will make it easier for players to launch the ball higher with their mid and long irons. All said, this is certainly an iron that low-handicappers would enjoy from a performance standpoint, but there’s enough playability built into the design that a mid-handicapper could play the CB-1008 as well.

The Tech Story

Highlighting the performance of the Miura CB-1008 irons is a weight bar that sits at the bottom of the cavity. The added mass in that location provides players with the ability to launch the ball with greater ease, as well as enhanced stability at impact on off-center strikes. Additionally, the weight also serves to protect ball speed on low-face strikes, which will keep golfers from losing too much distance on that common miss. Also of note, the sole on the CB-1008 is among the widest of any Miura iron, which provides significant turf forgiveness for players when their strike isn’t perfect. That said, these are irons that feature the limited offset and thin toplines at address that will appeal to better players. And finally, having been forged from premium S25C carbon steel, the CB-1008 irons will produce the crisp, solid acoustics that Miura forged irons have long been known for.
