Mizuno JPX 921 SEL Single Iron
Who’s It For?
Left-handed golfers often feel forgotten when searching for golf clubs. However, Mizuno is making sure there’s an option for left-handers in its new iron lineup. The Mizuno JPX 921 SEL irons, which include a combo of the JPX 921 Forged model in the longer irons and JPX 921 Tour irons in the shorter irons, are built specifically for lefties with lofts and lie angles set to blend perfectly.
The Tech Story
Mizuno’s iron development is brilliant, year in and year out, and that hasn’t changed in 2020. The JPX 921 Tour irons feature a shallow cavity-back players iron design that features a refined shape from past models, but it still delivers the impressive combination of precision, consistency, and stability. The irons are forged from Mizuno’s Grain Flow forging process, which is famous for producing impeccable feel. In addition to the Stability Frame, which adds forgiveness with toe weighting, the sole has been narrowed for cleaner turf interaction. THe JPX 921 Forged irons, meanwhile, are the first fully-forged irons to feature Chromoly, which has been so successful in previous JPX iron models. This design creates explosive distance and reliable forgiveness in a shape that is more compact than a game-improvement iron.
