Who’s It For?

PING has taken its iron technology to the next level with the new i59 Irons. While the forged i59s feature the classic, sleek look expected from a PING players iron, they also sport several innovations that make them surprisingly forgiving weapons. The PING i59 Irons serve as the natural replacement for the iBlade irons, as they are designed for low handicap golfers who want a touch more forgiveness compared to the pure blade PING Blueprint irons.

The Tech Story

The PING i59 Irons provide a tremendous blend of workability and forgiveness. They feature a forged 1025 carbon steel body to provide exceptionally soft feel and a forged 17-4 SS laser-cut face to deliver control. Powering the i59 irons internally is AlumiCore technology, which consists of an aluminum core that is roughy ? of the density compared to traditional stainless steel. This allowed PING engineers to reposition 30 grams of material around the toe and the heel to elevate MOI and increase forgiveness. Also, new MicroMax grooves utilize steeper sidewalls and tighter spacing, a combination that reduces fliers with short irons and maintains spin with long irons. The end result is an iron that boasts the same forgiveness properties as the i210 irons, but in a slimmer, more appealing forged construction.
