The Tech Story

The Cleveland CBZ Wedge incorporates several advanced technologies to optimize performance. At its core, the proprietary ZipCore technology replaces heavy material in the heel and hosel with a lightweight core, which repositions the Center of Gravity to be closer to the point of impact and increases the Moment of Inertia (MOI) for enhanced forgiveness. The clubface features HydraZip, a system of face blasts and laser-milled lines that are dynamically configured by loft to maximize and balance spin, particularly in wet conditions. This is complemented by UltiZip grooves, which are sharper and deeper to cut through grass and debris and maintain consistent spin from various lies. The new Z-Alloy material, a softer, lighter, and durable steel, is utilized to provide a superior feel, better forgiveness, and improved consistency. Additionally, a Full-Face option is available, which extends grooves from the hosel to the toe and utilizes a high-toe profile, offering expanded versatility for executing creative, open-face shots around the green.
