Miura Tour Wedge Series Wedge
Who’s It For
Miura’s new Tour Series wedges have been designed to provide players with the short game versatility they need to execute different types of shots around the green. They would best be described as low-to-mid bounce models but as the loft increases with each wedge the sole also gets wider as well to promote improved turf forgiveness. All said, these are wedges that will fit a wide variety of player, regardless of their swing characteristics, and also work well from any type of turf or sand condition.
The Tech Story
Miura has always been known for making exceptional wedges, but the company has utilized some new innovations in creating its new Tour Series wedge line. Most notably, these are the first milled wedges that Miura has ever released to the public. It believes that the CNC milling process that the clubface and grooves undergo will produce a higher level of consistency in terms of spin, which will give players improved spin around the green, as well as more control of their golf ball as it relates to distance and trajectory on full shots. Additionally, a progressive CG approach has been taken with the Tour Series wedges, with the CG being moved higher in the higher-lofted wedges to better align with the most likely impact area. The result is improved dispersion and trajectory on full shots, as well as a soft, crisp sound and feel at impact. And finally, as alluded to previously, wider soles on the more lofted wedges will give players more forgiveness around the greens and the ability to play shots more effectively from greenside bunkers and thicker, deeper rough.
