Who’s It For?

With 25 loft and grind combinations, the new PING s159 wedges are an ideal fit for any golfer. Whether it’s for full swings or delicate shots around the green, the PING s159 wedges have the ultimate versatility for golfers. The six different grinds (B, H, T, W, E, S) provide golfers with all different swing styles an option. The new B grind is a low bounce grind designed for golfers with a shallow attack angle and neutral face delivery. The H grind is another new grind added to the PING lineup. It’s designed for golfers with steeper attack angles, and is best suited for softer playing conditions. The T grind is PING’s most versatile grind, ideal for medium to firm turf conditions. Then there’s the W grind, which is the most forgiving option, and is for golfers with a steep angle of attack and greater handle lean at impact. For sand shots, the E grind is the ultimate bunker club, with its low bounce on square or open face shots. Finally, there’s the S grind, which is another versatile option that’s trail edge relief makes it suited for a wide variety of conditions and techniques.

The Tech Story

The PING s159 wedges continue the PING tradition of innovation and unmatched feel, while providing golfers with the most versatile lineup to date. High-performance wheel-cut grooves provide optimal spin and control off the clubface. The precision-milled grooves also feature a friction-adding face blast, helping create more interaction with the ball at impact. An Investment-cast 8620 carbon steel head with an elastomer insert, continues to deliver unmatched feel for any kind of shot. An improved hosel transition with constant offset makes the s159 wedges an appealing setup. Adding to the clean look of the s159 wedges are its two finish options, the classic Hydropearl Chrome finish, or the attractive anti-glare Midnight finish.
