Who’s It For?
Introducing the new Exotics Wingman Wedge series from Tour Edge, which has designed with help from the most decorated player in the history of the PGA Tour Champions, Bernhard Langer. The Tour Edge Exotics Wingman wedges are both forged and extensively milled to deliver a premium look and feel. Of note, there are three sole grind options available for golfers. The F/S grind (Firm / Sweeper) is designed for golfers who play in firm conditions or who have a shallow attack angle and includes low bounce. The M/N Grind (Mid Neutral) offers mid bounce that can be played by golfers with a variety of swing types and in many turf conditions. And finally, the S/D Grind (Soft Digger) is designed for use in soft conditions or by players with a steep attack angle. The S/D Grind has the most bounce of the three grinds. When selecting your Wingman wedge(s), it’s important to make sure the wedge grind is a fit for your play style and conditions.
The Tech Story
The Tour Edge Exotics Wingman wedges are powered by a Constant Offset Design, which was inspired by Bernhard Langer. On each Wingman wedge, there is 3.0mm of constant offset that promotes a hands-forward attack on the downswing, which eliminates improper lift at impact and leads to inefficient wedge play. Ultimately, the added offset presents the bounce in a more ideal to the turf that results in better, cleaner contact and more control. The VIBRCOR tech pockets feature the Tour Edge proprietary performance TPU and help provide a distinct feel while adding perimeter weighting for a boost in forgiveness. The new Triple-Traction Milled Face technology features milled grooves, milled micro-grooves, and milled toe lines that have worked together to enlarge the strike area by 10% compared to a traditional wedge.
